How to Apply

The application process for the American Sentinel's degree programs is easy - just follow the steps below:

STEP 1)	Submit an online application (you must use Internet Explorer) or fill out a paper copy and fax it to American Sentinel University. You need to submit your resume, curriculum vitae or list of professional accomplishments and goals statement as a part of the application.
STEP 2)	Evidence of graduation from high school or satisfactory completion of the General Education Development (GED) requirement. (If submitting an official college transcript for transfer credit, high school verification is not required.) Transcripts of high school graduation or GED certification must be sent directly to American Sentinel University by the granting institution(s). Students wishing to enroll in a bachelor's degree program must have received a minimum GPA of 2.00 in their high school studies. STEP 3)	To apply for transfer credits click here. To apply for Life and Work Experience credit click here. If the student wishes to receive credits for courses or degrees from institutions outside the U.S. or Canada, the academic transcripts must be evaluated and certified by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. member organization. The certifying organization will assess a fee. The student should request that the report be sent directly to American Sentinel University. Applicants with foreign degrees, depending on the program, will need to request a General Report or an Expanded Report.
STEP 4)	MSN program applicants: All nursing students must have an active, unencumbered nursing license. Fax a copy of your RN license to American Sentinel University.
STEP 5)	For those students applying directly to the MSN program, copy of your BSN transcripts are required. For those applying to the RN to MSN a copy of your ASN transcripts are required.
STEP 6)	For those student applying to RN to BSN program, evidence of RN credentials and Associate Degree. For admissions evaluation, you may fax or email a copy to 1-866-505-2450 or admissions@AmericanSentinel.edu.
STEP 7)	If the first language is not English and the student does not have an undergraduate degree from an institution where all courses were taught in English (one of the following is required): a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 550 (written version) or 215 (computer version). an IELTS (International English Language Test) minimum overall band of 5 for undergraduate and 6.5 for graduate programs or verified earned certification in an English proficiency program.
Note: Nurses educated outside the US and who are eligible to practice as registered nurses in the United States will need to be certified by CGFNS and pass the NCLEX-RN licensure examination before being considered for admission to the program Please note the above forms are in .pdf format.
